As Spektre, producers Paul Maddox and Filthy Rich have done incredibly well to break away from the sounds they are individually known for (groovy hard dance and electro house respectively) to conquer the techno underground, releasing on labels like Very Very Wrong Indeed and Great Stuff and finding favours with DJs like Steve Lawler and James Zabiela. Whatever they’re producing, whether as a team or separately, it’s always super-slick, punchy stuff – so who better to give us ten top tips for the studio.
